Every week, the makeup community is bombarded with new releases, and I feel like as time goes on, it’s getting more and more over saturated. I am a makeup lover and love trying new things, but I think it’s important to step back and see what I really want/need, and maybe help you to realize the same thing! I’ll be including things I’m anti-hauling (not buying) and things I’m either interested in/on the fence about, and two things that I’ve already purchased. All of the images are taken from trendmood on instagram, her account is how I see and keep up on all of the new makeup releases. If there’s anything you see that you’re also not buying or you are interested/have already bought it, be sure to let me know and start a discussion!
Urban Decay Aphrodisiac Collection
What it includes:
- An eyeshadow palette with 6 shades
- 3 new Hi-Fi lipglosses
- 2 repromoted 24/7 eye pencils

- bundle with all 16 shades $55
- individual shades $6.99
- magnetic palette with a mirror $11.99
My thoughts: Now this is a release that immediately caught my attention. I have a love affair with colorful shadows, and I absolutely love the queen of hearts palette from coloured raine, so I’ve been wanting to try more of their shadows and formulas. I don’t think I will be purchasing the bundle since I truly don’t need all of those shades, but I have my eye on the purples, pinks, and blues. I’m going to hold off for now since I do have other colorful shadows and palettes, but once I save up some money I will definitely be picking a few of these shades up and will keep you updated! From what I’ve tried from coloured raine, their formula is fantastic and definitely worth trying out.
KKW Beauty Classic Collection
What it includes:
- the Classic eyeshadow palette $45
- 4 Peach Creme lipsticks $18 each
- 4 Peach Creme lipliners $12 each
- Bundle $150

- The Zodiac Eyeshadow Palette $18
- 2 Lux Lipsticks $7 each
- 2 SuperShock Highlighters $8 each
- 2 SuperNova Shadows $7 each
- The Zodiac Collection Bundle $59
My thoughts: This is one of the items I mentioned earlier that I had already purchased; I couldn’t resist. I didn’t buy the entire bundle, but instead only the eyeshadow palette and the lipstick in the shade scorpio moon (the mauve toned one), which just arrived as I’m typing this. I absolutely love colourpop’s pressed eyeshadow formula as well as their lux lipstick formula, so those were the two things I immediately wanted to check out. Kathleen’s first colourpop palette, Dream St, is one of my favorites in my collection, and I love this whole zodiac theme and color story, so that was a no brainer. I’m a sucker for mauve toned lipsticks, but not really for nudes, so scorpio moon was another must have. I’m not crazy about colourpop’s SuperNova shadow formula, and the colors weren’t anything new, so those were an easy pass. Their SuperShock highlighter formula is fine but not my favorite and those shades didn’t jump out at me so I saw no reason to get those either. Overall, I think the collection is really cute and unique, and at a great price as always with colourpop. I will be doing a review on the palette and lipstick which I’m super excited to play with so stay tuned!
Dose of Colors x iluvsarahii Collection
What it includes:
- an eyeshadow palette $35
- 2 highlighters $28 each
- 4 matte liquid lipsticks $18 each
- 2 lipglosses $17 each

- Hello 21 mini lip collection (6 mini liquid lipsticks) $36
- 3 lip kits (matte liquid lipstick) $30 each
- 21 lip collection – 6 new matte lipsticks – $17 each, $90 for the bundle
- Sipping Pretty eyeshadow palette $65
- The birthday lip trio (one matte, one velvet, one gloss) $36
- Champagne showers highlighter $28
- 3 liquid eyeshadows $20 each
- Birthday bag $32
My thoughts: This is the final collection I’ll be discussing in this post, and the last one I’ll be completely anti-hauling. I’ve tried a few products from Kylie before and I’ve mostly liked them, the loose highlighter is incredible, and the velvet and gloss lip formulas are fantastic. But this collection does absolutely nothing for me, especially at how overpriced it is. The eyeshadow palette has some fun shades, but it still looks a bit bland from the packaging and the overall color story. It just doesn’t make sense, especially for $65. The highlighter looks like literally every other highlight on the market (champagne pop anyone?) and her pressed highlighter formula is nothing to run home about in the first place. I’ve never tried her liquid eyeshadows because I hardly ever like liquid eyeshadows from any brand, so that’s another pass. The lipsticks are cute, but nothing I need. I was considering maybe the mini lip set, but I it’s mostly mattes, and I’ve heard nothing but negative things about her matte formula. Her collections over the past year have just been huge let downs for the makeup lover in me. Be sure to let me know any of your thoughts on this collection and anything else I mentioned!!!
Thank you for reading and stopping by!💓

In my humble opinion, this is arguabely the most talked and buzzed about summer palette of the season. As soon as I saw the pictures, like many others, I was immediately drawn in and intrigued. I had never purchased anything from Violet Voss before this palette, but this color story really spoke to me personally and just absolutely screams summer. There’s a lot of variety with this palette, which I think is one of the biggest selling points. It’s not a neutral or a warm tone palette with a pop of blue or purple. It’s 20 shades of oranges, corals, purples, blues, reds, etc., with a good mix of both mattes and shimmers. You can get many different types of looks with it, and they’re almost all going to bright, fun, and colorful. But these shades are not as vibrant and rich on the eyes as they are in the pans, such as Anastasia Beverly Hills or Sugarpill shadows. They don’t lack pigment, but they definitely translate more as a wash of color rather than super intense color. Because of that, I think this is perfect for anyone who wants to experiment with color but is a bit intimidated or not sure where to start. These shadows are easy to work with, blend very easily, and are build-able while still having a good color payoff. I was especially impressed by the intensity and beautiful reflects of the metallic shades, and find the colors so easy to pair with the mattes, and don’t have to think much when wanting to create a summer look, whether it be easy and quick, or creative and bold. If you’re only looking for super intense, rich, colorful mattes, then this may not be the palette for you. But if any of the other pros I mentioned appeal to you, as well as the color story, then I cannot recommend this palette to you enough!
